Cloaking Device is Laugh Index Theatre's Harold team, and it has won more IMPROV WARS matches than any other LIT house team.

Hot & Sweaty is LIT's comedy ensemble, and it consists of LIT's instructors & directors and represents LIT as its offical touring company at comedy festivals around the country. Formed during a hot summer in 2010 with six members, Hot & Sweaty was the inspiration that eventually led to the formation of Laugh Index Theatre. Hot & Sweaty has cultivated more comedic talent & instructors, produced more shows and attended more festivals than any other team in DC, and it is one of DC's longest-running teams. Our alum have been seen on Last Comic Standing, Funny or Die and noteworthy stages across the country.
Every Hot & Sweaty show is a unique and can be any type of comedy: improv, sketch, musical.

Handsome Naked is an award winning, critically acclaimed comedy Hip-hop group from Chicago fresh off their first national college tour that ALSO happens to be mad hilarious! In the process of releasing two EPs (#HandsomeNaked, Google Us), three full length albums (Chicago Style, H.NAKE, Fully Clothed) and a mixtape (Blankets) they have collaborated with up and coming comedians such as Chris Redd (Lonely Island’s Popstar, Netflix, Comedy Central), Rashawn Nadine Scott (Second City Mainstage, The Late Show), Martin Morrow (Second City Mainstage, NBC’s Last Comic Standing) and more.
The group began when NYU graduate filmmaker and comedian Eric Oren (national touring stand-up, TruTV's "Roadspill") and Chucho Perez (NBC’s Chicago MED, Second City Touring Company) joined forced with Brad Kemp (Second City Music Director and Teacher, Head engineer/owner Second Bedroom Studio) to create a music video and realized their love for lyrical rap. Whether headlining or opening for regional favorites likeTurquoise Jeep, Flynt Flossy or Froggy Fresh, they’ve been seen regularly at Chicago staples such as Subterranean, Beat Kitchen, The Second City, Green Mill and more. H Nake’s on iTunes, Spotify, Youtube and more.

Jennifer Amo is a native of the DMV area, the land of politics, numerous parking tickets and the beloved Metro, with stories about her upbringing as a first-generation child of immigrants, dating, and adult education. She is a House Comic at Laugh Index Theatre for the 2017-18 season.

Rob Asero
NYC/Los Angeles
Storyteller
Rob Asaro is comedian, actor, and writer, that lives in New York City and Los Angeles. He has toured around the country telling (mostly) true stories.
He’s produced, written and star in several short films and has been part of sketch troupe such as “Captains of Industry,”and “Chocolate Cake City.” His film and stage work has been officially selected for festivals in Montreal, Boston, Chicago, Miami, and New York, as well as lesser cities such as Philadelphia. Sketches have been broadcast on MTVu and heard on SiriusXM Radio.
Rob’s also produced, starred in, and wrote two webseries: “Yellow Brick Hell” (YellowBrickHell.com) which splitsider.com encouraged readers to watch due to its ” pessimism, passion, and patience.” The series won first place at Iron Mule Comedy Short Film Festival, and features some of the top talent in New York, while the second series, “Serious Business” (SeriousBusinessComedy.com) has seen such unusual pairings as Rob’s character “Jon Corallo” with actor Jim Belushi.
